The Spitfire is as addicting as my Mustang, but there is a small difference: This Spitfire was constructed for Aircombat, and that is her decision!
Who hasn't tried aircombat missed something. But you should be aware that every start could be the last and that the requirements for the pilots are very high. You need to take care after other models and at the same time, be able to fly you own on the limits. It's not very seldom that a crash can happen...

Update 23.09.2013:
After 14 hours and 35 minutes in the air, the Spitfire took part on her last aircombat. A full impact in the elevator as lead to a total loss. The components are still okay and will get in the next constructions, the wings survived and will be stored for the future.
Pictures from the crash can be found here.

Shipping:
Also this model was bought second hand, so i can't tell anything about shippement.
My setup:
Because i bought it used I can't tell much about that. There are 5 high Tec servos built in and a 4S 1100mAh NiMh battery with a Magnum 4ccm using a 9x6 prop.
As receiver I'm using an OrangeRx R600.

Build up:
Alos here I can't tell much, but it is an ARF model so there should be the normal work to do. Put in the components, aetup the cowling, glue in the elevator and rudder and also the hinges.
The quality looks good and the price is okay also.

Flight characteristics:
The spitfire can be used with or without retracts, both has advantages and disadvantages. If you use the landing gear, the starting of the engine and attaching of the transmitter is easier, but the starting is more tricky because she likes a nose over very much. The same while landing. Also she is very lively and you have to control her very good during take off. In the air you have then the disguisting picture of the landing gear the whole time. Without landing gear, the take off by hand can be done quite easy, a good throw in a 45° angle and she's in the air. For landing you cut the throttle a few meters before and touch her down smooth on the belly. There you can get some scratches on the underside of the wings and also there is a little danger that she will raise up on the last cm again because of the ground effect. What you should know is, that there are servo cuts on the under and upside of the wing, so if you prefer to fly her without landing gear, you should install the servos on the upper side of the wing.
The flight image is beautiful and she flies quite similar to the Mustang, full aerobatic capable and knife edge is possible. In the air she is unbreakable can can do everything, the limits will be shown with a stall if you pull the rudders too much. The stall comes without any warnings can lead to massive lost of height, so be carefull with that when you fly near to the ground, especially when it comes to aircombat.
Here is a video I took with a cheap cam during an aircombat:

Conclusion:
Target group: Advanced and aircombat
Finishing: ?
Flight characteristics: Very good
Price / performance ratio: Good
Aircombat? Cheaper is only possible if you do a scratch build, but because of the price it isn't worth. A fast, straightforward and extreme agile plane with a big fun factor, doesn't matter if with streamer for aircombat or only to fly a classical warbird.
